Oh wonderful. You mean that I would actually have to look at the screen while I type, as opposed to a piece of paper or another window? Focus- follows-my-intent is even harder. The mistake, as I see it is that clicking in a window makes it the active window and brings it to the front, even if all I wanted to do was scroll the contents. The system is not really able to distinguish between three seperate actions on inactive windows: o I want to activate a window, so it gets keystrokes and menu bar control. o I want to use a control in a window. o I want to change the layering of a window.
