I know of two programs that do the job well: DistTop and DiskTools II. Both programs are rated high in MacUser and cost about the same. I have tried DiskTop, and LIKED it. However, there has been a saying that DiskTop leaves something(?) in the System Heap, after it's been closed and causes problems with programs like Light Speed Pascal ( I have experienced the problem). The version I tried was 3.0.1, have they fixed the problem in version 3.0.2 ( or 3.0.3) ? Then what about DiskTools II ? Has anyone used it? How was the program, in terms of interface, memory ...etc ( there was a review in March 1988 issue of MacUser, but I have thrown away that issue already... ugh! and they are advertising sale of their back issues in MacUser). Most importantly, DOES DISKTOOLS II HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT DISKTOP HAS? All answers/suggestions are welcome. Please either direct them to me via e-mail or post to the net if you think that this subject is of general interest. Thanks in advance.
