I'm sure that everyone would love to use it. That would be great to be able to set aside all other layers so you can put things in the trash without moving dozens of windows. It would also be nice to be able to flag a particular application to automatically put aside other layers when selected. This would be a good feature for applications that put icons on the desktop (outside windows), such as Finder.
