wrong.  i don't know where you got this, but you should check again.
you can buy the 56001 DSP from motorola in quantity 1 for $56.01.  it
has been this price for about six months.  if you go to a distributor,
they will charge whatever they can but the last time i asked (last
week) i was told around $67.00 for quantity 1.  the part number to
ask for is XSP56001ZL20.  that is the designator for our SLAM package.
if you want a pin grid array package, designated XSP56001R20, you 
will pay considerably more--around $100.00 from motorola and i don't
know what a distributor will charge.
