There seem to be many "informed" sources out there! To summarize: CD-audio is LINEAR 16-bit. I *WAS* misinformed. I am happy that I was misinformed. :-) :-) Please picture a fellow in front of a terminal wearing several eggs. I'm glad that I got such detailed and soundly based responses.
