I would assume that they are | the same as for the II and the 6000 (dangerous assumption, I know ...)? | I want to transfer over the last few source from the 16b, and then, if | I can find anyone who wants it, sell it. \* End of text from hal6000:comp.sys.tandy The serial `A' and `B' channels are basically RS-232C, DTE configuration. So, there are a couple of ways to transfer between it and another DTE port. You can take 3 (yes, three) null-modems, put two on one machine and one on the other (you need one on each side so each side thinks it has DCD [carrier] when it raises DTR, and the third re-crosses pins 2/3 and 4/5), and a straight '232 cable between. Or, if you have the kind of null modem you can take apart, and don't mind rewiring, use two and inside one of them, uncross pins 2/3 and pins 4/5. Or, you can build a cable to do the same job, wired like this: Pin Pin 1 <--------> 1 3 <--------> 2 2 <--------> 3 5 <--------> 4 4 <--------> 5 8 <-----+--> 20 | 20 <--+-----> 8 | | 6 <--+ +--> 6 7 <--------> 7 Hope this info helps as well as the pin-out Frank provided. ---- [This information was provided by an individual and is not nor should be construed as being provided by Radio Shack or Tandy Corporation.
