The shareware version of JetRoff (1.1) which was posted to Usenet downloads
only the *glyphs* needed by a job (not whole fonts).  The 2.3a version of
JetRoff which is available to registered licensees also has support for
cartridges.

JetRoff is probably an order of magnitude less in cost than what you are
using now, anyway, so you might want to check into it a little further.
