I remember reading this paper in conjunction with my course in OSes
back around '82-83.   I don't remember the author, though the name
John Allman keeps coming up and tapping me in the forebrain.  He may
or may not have anything to do with it.
	I read this at U of Waterloo (it was online).  There's a fellow
here who could really use this; he's having to come to me with his questions,
and I can't give him with as clear an introduction as I remember this
paper provides.  I've checked thru our documentation from SUN, and 4.2-4.3,
with no luck.
	Any help would be appreciated...
