I want to do this so I can give the color frame buffer to suntools to run some color applications like magic under it. I've applied the official patches of 1 Nov that add the -mono switch to the R3 Sun server. Here are some of the various invocations I've tried: xinit -- -mono xinit -- -dev /dev/bwtwo0 xinit -- -dev /dev/bwtwo0 -mono xinit -- -dev /dev/bwtwo0 :0.1 xinit -- -dev /dev/bwtwo0 :0.1 -mono o o o Note that suntools is NOT running when I've tried these commands, nor have there been any selection_svcs creeping around in the background. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris Jepeway UTK CS Department
