Yes, it might.  I vaguely remember Land mentioning something to that
effect, but as I recall he was speculating and didn't know for sure.
Forgive me if that's wrong - it was 1961 when I saw Land demonstrate
the experiment; if I've ever seen it in print, I've totally forgotten.
