What is the correct procedure for re-building a subset of the core
distribution (e.g., when installing patches)?  If I start at the top level and
use "make all" it takes forever on my Sun 3/50.  However, if I go to, say
clients/xterm, and type "make all", it builds O.K., but the result is not
right -- the new xterm gets a segmentation fault.
