If you want a *reference* book, you can get the MIT documentation from the MIT Software Center, by calling (617) 258-8330. The Xlib and Protocol reference manuals are coming out (any day now?) combined in a book from Digital Press. There are also the books from O'Reilly and Associates, containing both tutorial and reference information; contact uunet!ora!nuts. There is also Ollie Jone's book on programming with Xlib (not a reference manual) published by Prentice Hall.
