In GNU Emacs 18.51.1 of Tue Aug  2 1988 on cadev4 (berkeley-unix)

Well, actually ultrix v2.2 with patches trough patch 4 applied, running on
a uVAX II.  My vt220 is connected through some sort of terminal server
which, from the shell, interprets C-\ as "connect to the previous session
in the list of sessions to which this user is connected".  (I usually have
sessions on 2-4 machines.)  It works fine from the shell.  But today I
accidentally hit C-z C-\ in rapid succession, and gnu dumped core.  This is
repeatable, and happens both to my 'loaded' emacs and to one that does not
have a .emacs to go through first (a 'bare' emacs).
