How about the poster using his version of 'cut' to product N files each
containing about 80 columns (but cut on whitespace) which the lowtech's
like myself can print on a normal printer? Doesn't need sed, awk, grep,
cut, paste, foo, mumble, barf, or compress. I can do it on a Mac, a PC,
SysV, BSD... I appreciate the results, but the solution to the long line
problem was perhaps over-engineered. I like solutions which involve $200
printers, scissors, and Scotch tape.
