Many are readers have no access to UNIX, others have only secondary access to it or ability to use it. Would it be too much to ask for a condensed version of results, with perhaps 100 entries on machines of current interest? Most of us are interested in the current generation of workstations (i.e. Apollo >= 3000, Sun >= 3, uVAX II, RT, etc.), RISC chips (MIPS, 88K, 29K, etc.), PCs (286, 386, Mac, etc.), mainframes (VAX 8xxx, IBM 30xx, 43xx, etc.) and supers, with some VAX 780 numbers thrown in for reference. Few are interested in numbers for old 370s, PDP-11s or 8086 machines. They can uncompress if need be, or if they need the code. The sum total of that will be smaller than the flamage on uncompress I've seen so far. Thanks to Rick and all others who go through the effort to come up with the data. -- Mike Butts, Research Engineer KC7IT 503-626-1302 Mentor Graphics Corp., 8500 SW Creekside Place, Beaverton OR 97005 ...!{sequent,tessi,apollo}!mntgfx!mbutts OR mbutts@pdx.MENTOR.COM These are my opinions, & not necessarily those of Mentor Graphics.
