Perhaps in Austrailia half-meter printers are common. None of the printers using 8-1/2 inch paper produce anything you want to read with 200 columns on it. Even in landscape mode that's 19 cpi, pretty rough to read. My point was that for most people it's a six step operation, three of which may require software not on some systems. How much better to make it into a two step process, like "print this on an 80 column printer, there are formfeeds every 60 lines, print the next two postings and glue together." You have been around long enough to have all the tools. I, on the other hand, have been around long enough to be tired of sending people tools, and would rather send them something which anyone can use without neat stuff.
