View, CA Lines: 14 I have purchased a 1200 baud internal modem via CompuAdd (a Mail Order Company) for my XT with a 30mB hard card recently. When I first inserted the modem card in the system and tried to boot up the system, nothing happened. Then I changed the switching of the modem card to COM2 even though nothing was using COM1. This time, I could boot up the system and I thought everything's fine. The problem now came when I tried to dial a number out using the software PCTALK III which came with the modem card. When I entered the command to dial a number, the screen responded 'Dialing to number xxx' when nothing's actually happening. Can anybody tell me what seems to be the problem? Thanks.
