K., `An approach to type design and text composition in Indian scripts', Stanford University Computer science dept tech. report #965 April, 1983. This raises a number of questions that I would appreciate answered: 1. Have there been more articles in this area? How can I get a good bibliography? 2. Is this a `proof of concept' article or a report of a complete implementation? 3. I suspect that this may make use of the `charext' parameter of METAFONT. Are there TeX/device drivers that pay attention to this? [standard TeX doesn't] Thanks for your help. -Nath -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- More sophisticated the technology, Nath more vulnarable it is to crude sabotage. vkr@osupyr.mast.ohio-state.edu -The Doctor, in the Pirate Planet.
