Hi-ho,

I know that this was mentioned before, but I was unable to find any references
on it after a quick direct look, so  .. Can anyone give me some references to
articles on optimizing a color palette.  (That is, if I have a 24 bit color
image, but my video buffer only handles 256 colors at a time, how do I go
about choosing the "best" 256 colors to use, rather than just taking an
evenly distributed sample of the 16M colors available?)

Just explaining a good (and effective) way of doing this would be usefull, too.
