The manual for Turbo Pascal 4.0 claims that linking Pascal programs with
programs written in assembler is possible, but when I follow the directions I
get

error#56
"Error in object file"

The assember is an Intel asm86.EXE.

Has anyone out there succeeded in linking pascal and assembler programs at all?
 Am I using an incompatible assembler, or missing some step perhaps?

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.
