However, I don't like having to type the full path name when I can use domains on other machines. Your Background: This news group seems to be the place to ask about things like pathalias, smail, uumail, sendmail, etc, are all of which are vaguely familar, but not on my machine. The Question: In order to have a substantive dialog with people in this newsgroup, I need to come up to speed on the "commonly accepted general knowledge".
