My situation was similar to yours, but I *did* write to the
person, who told me he'd been informed not to distribute
*complete* 1.3c (which is what I recall he has) on that
basis, because it would (as I understood him) undercut
P-H's update package (to be available, apparently, for
$29.95 sometime in February).  While I'm not crazy about
waiting, the fact is I've waited quite a while already,
so I didn't pursue it.

I'm posting in the somewhat distant hope that there may
yet be an alternative someone out there will inform us of.
