The old Annex had 16, 9-pin connectors, whereas the current Annex II can
be configured with 16 or 32 serial ports with any connector you like
(we're using 25 pin male connectors on ours). The parallel port is a
25 pin female connector on both models (the same kind that IBM uses
on their PC's).

The current software version, 4.0, has a far better printer driver than
the previous releases. In version 3.0, the parallel port was reset before
each new job. Now it only happens when the Annex is rebooted.

The current Annex II has a faster CPU (the same type, but with a faster
clock) and more memory.
