Lines: 38 Just thought I'd mention about KILL files in the 'rn' newsreader, for those of you that use rn. You can type ^K to edit yours. I bring it up because I've had one for a couple of years that I add to know and then, and it's proven very handy for me. A year ago when everyone was yakking about piracy I filtered it out, and now that the thread has started up again (these topics are cyclical) I haven't seen any messages, just a note fron rn that it's throwing away lots of stuff. It saves me a lot of reading time, not to mention my 'k' and 'n' keys. Here's an example of what I use; edit it for your tastes. /adverti/j /apple/j /atari/j /bridge board/j /bridgeboard/j /copy protect/j /ibm/j /janus/j /macintosh/j /modula/j /ms-dos/j /os-2/j /os\/2/j /pascal/j /piracy/j /pirat/j /unix/j Of course now that you know what I filter, you can write a message with the subject os-2 and complain about what a lousy job Bob Page is doing on the sources groups and I'll never see it. :-) ..Bob -- Bob Page, U of Lowell CS Dept. page@swan.ulowell.edu ulowell!page Have five nice days.
