Fred fish disk #147 has MicroGNUEmacs(MG 2b), but it probably doesn't have
all the features you may be used to on the full blown Gnu Emacs.

This is the pinout of the parallel port on the 1000:

pin    name
1      /STROBE
2-9    D0-D7
10     /ACK
11     BUSY
12     POUT
13     SEL
14     +5V PULLUP
15     NC
16     /RESET
17-25  GND

This is the pinout of the parallel port on the 2000:
pin    name
1      /DRDY
2-9    D0-D7
10     /ACK
11     BUSY
12     POUT
13     SEL
14-22  GND
23     +5V
24
25     /RESET

So, if you have something that is designed to connect to the 1000, but
you have a 2000 or a 500, wire a gender-bender with pins 1-13, 14, 16,
17-22 of the 2000's connector across to pins 1-13, 23, 25, and 17-22,
respectively, of the device's connector.

Anyone who tries to do this wiring will have to take responsibility
for any problems--I cannot assume any liability for mistakes here,
although I believe it to be accurate.
