get PopCLI and press left-amiga-ESC and get another cli.  then shrink the
window you left running down somewhat if it's in the way - better yet, if
you have enough chip ram free, use VBench which makes a superbitmap window
out of the workbench and slide the window offscreen into a corner and check
on it periodically.
