In my humble opinion, this BB would be a more interesting place if
some of the people endlessly opining (on either side)
about copying of software took some time of posting to look into:

  The difference between Law, Justice, and moral good, in Ethics.
  
  and, the concept of Utility, in Ethics and Economics.
