I am concerned about the general perception that 1000s are no longer prevalent. I frequently see articles, coments, telecommunications arti- cles with statements like "I'm one of the few remaining 1000 owners". Let's not kill the 1000 with misperceptions. Yes, it is no longer manu- factured, nevertheless, it is very much alive. In the AmigaWorld 1987 Subscriber Survey, the 1000 was listed as the "OVERWHELMING MODEL OF PREFERENCE". These stats might surprise you!!! Base = Total respondents (694) Amiga 1000 83% Amiga 2000 5% Amiga 500 5% out of a net 90% Amiga owners. Surveys have many limitations, but it is still a telling statistic.
