Just FYI since I have my manual for their hard drive here
at work.

By the way, I am almost finished with the massive testing of the
cpio which gurus under the FFS on Supra Corp. Hard disk.

It appears to be the hard disk driver.  I am working with supra
to try and find out what is happening, and I will report when I 
finish.  Then I'll start bugging them about getting the ami
Mount command to work right :-)
