I think that the enhancement kit only costs $70 from Apple dealers.  At
least thats what I had to pay.

If you are considering getting your //e enhanced, here's a little something
you might want to keep in mind:  After having mine done, my printer was
essentially useless.  Garbage text would get printed for every 5 or 6 lines
of what should get printed.  Apparently, the printer interface that I was
using (1982 model) was incompatible with the new ROMS.  When I told my
friendly Apple dealer about this and asked about a refund on the enhancement,
he was not very encouraging.  Kind of like once those chips are in place,
there's no turning back.  So I ended up buying another printer interface card!

You might want to have your dealer make sure that everything in your setup will
be compatible before the sale is final....
