If the Transwarp GS does what it is advertized to do, I don't see why
there is any particular need for new software to be written -- although
Appleworks (old) runs about as fast as anyone might want (except perhaps
for a large spreadsheet with lots of recalculating) any graphics-based
program, including just the Finder, should benefit from the 2.5 speedup
-- note that that includes all the wordprocessors that use the graphics
screen.
