I just got off the phone with AE yesterday.  They said that the
Transwarp GS would ship in early February, as the prototypes are
now undergoing a rigorous shakedown.  Features include:

7 MHz speed
Control panel selectable speeds (1, 2.8 and TransWarp GS)
Fits in either slots 3 or 4, without interfering with the mouse or 80 column
  funtions or either slot, just like the old transwarp.
A five layer surface mount designm with chips on both sides of the board(!)
Price: $399 (Not bad at'all)

Looks like everyone should put away a little Christmas (or Channukah) money
now.  They say the product is hot and there're itching to get it on the shelves.
