I am posting the following query for a student here who doesn't have
access to the Net. Please address any replies to me and I will forward
them to him.

    I'm currently writing an application using GEM and I am having
    problems with displaying and dragging icons on the desktop window
    (where the desktop stores its icons). I have two problems:

    1). How do you display a ghost icon which can be dragged around the
    	screen?

    2). How do you know when to redraw icons which have been uncovered
    	when windows are moved?
