Just one quick comment about Alex Crain's dilemma ...

that new "user id" under which his system died is suspiciously like a prank.

Say it phonetically (i.e. ``ubluit''): You Blew It

Unless that's an inside joke in the kernel (like the "Guru Meditation Alert"
for a system crash on the Amiga), it would appear someone DID penetrate
Alex' system and inflict a trojan horse.

Just a thought ...
