Does anyone know how to fix the bug in the NE-1000 cards?

I have a batch of cards that I got from Novell a while ago.

Three of the twelve still crash on me.  Does anyone have a fix for this?
It crashes either when the station sits idle or under very very heavy
workstation-to-server I/O.

Any answer is very much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
