I have used their model IBM-PR2, which contains bus buffering and decoding for a 32-address block of I/O space. This particular model has only the 8-bit XT bus (which could be used in an AT if you didn't need 16-bit transfers), but I think they also offer one with the 16-bit bus. Its I/O address can be DIP-switch selected for anywhere in the valid I/O range of the IBM , 200 to 3FF hex. It provides information on how to modify the decoding circuitry if you want to decode differently (or want some memory address space). I believe Vector (a big supplier of wire-wrap and similar products) also makes an IBM prototyping board. It's more expensive, though. --- From: simon@E.MS.UKY.EDU ------------------- Jameco Electronics makes several prototype boards for the XT/AT. The XT proto board (Part#PCL750) contains the address decoding and buffering. The AT board (#4617-1) has no extra circuitry. I'm not sure if these boards are for wire-wrap or not, you can call Jameco at 415-592-8121, place orders at 414-592-8097. JDR Microdevices has many wire-wrap proto boards, again the XT version can be ordered with decoding/buffers (JDR-PR2) or without (JDR-PR1). The AT version (JDR-PRAT) has no decoding/buffers. You can call JDR at 800-538-5000. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Dugal also mentioned Jameco. Peter Franks suggested checking with Heathkit as well as JDR and California Digital, though he had no specific information.-- - Joe Buck jbuck@epimass.epi.com, or uunet!epimass.epi.com!jbuck, or jbuck%epimass.epi.com@uunet.uu.net for old Arpa sites I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. -- G.
