Someone posted a request for information on switch settings
for a used AST ComboPlus card (predecessor of the SixPacPlus).

I understand the aggravation of some at seeing the news-group bandwidth
used for repetition of common answers.  Despite my repeatedly marking
the original queries as "unread", so that I could e-mail (instead of
posting) a reply, the original posting disappeared before I could answer.
However, I will risk the flames on this and the preceding item, 
because the ComboPlus is 4..5 years out of production,
and installation without documentation is a big hassle.

I brought the ComboPlus "Guide To Installation & Operation" in to work.
You will also need to change DIP-switches on the PC system board.

Please send mail to let me know what you need,
or confirm that you no longer need it (so I can take the stuff back home).

I have no connection with AST Research, except as a customer.
