This is true, but I should point out that for some time we have been encouraging application developers to embed PostScript inside PICTs, which are a data format almost every program understands. We put out a tech note on how to do it (Position-Independent PostScript, #183), and some applications already generate such pictures (Adobe Illustrator is an example). A coworker of mine successfully used both PostScript and TIFF images in FullWrite by putting them through Illustrator.
