Is anyone else having compatibility problems between RedRyder and SoundMaster?

One person in our group removed SoundMaster from his System Folder and when he
next ran Red it immediately crashed.  I have had problems with the system
freezing during xmodem or kermit.  Also when I shutdown after using Red my
shutdown sound does not play, so it appears that SoundMaster and RedRyder are
infringing on each others data space.
