       I have a Mac512 that gives me the Sad Mac icon as soon as it
       is powered on.  Underneath the Sad Mac is 0F000D.  Is my only
       option to take it to an authorized Macintosh service center?

       I am considering upgrading to 1M and SCSI port.  I think that
       this upgrade involves installing a completely new mother board.
       If this is the case, and I do the upgrade and replace the 
       mother board, will I not have to worry about the Sad Mac problem
       since I would then have a new mother board?
   
       Any help would be appreciated.
