Having installed the 4.0.1 patches (and NOT the fpa patch), now when I
access /dev/rst8, even as a non-privileged user, the system panics and
halts, with the message: PANIC: FPA not enabled.

Has anyone had a similar experience, or can anyone shed light on this
situation?
