I personally am involved with MIDI and as of this time, I don't know of any
MIDI interfaces for the Model III or for that fact, the software either. If
he is just interested a little, he could perhaps find a Commodore 64 and drive  at a garage sale real cheap and buy an interface for that. Passport Designs     makes good interfaces and software for the 64 and they don't set you back a lot.
