Something else that VP/ix does very badly at is interrupt latency.  This
particularly affects communications programs.  I have a terminal emulator
that runs fine under DOS at 19,200 baud, but drops characters under VP/ix at
any speed over 1200 baud.  This is particularly irksome because the same
emulator running in a virtual machine under Windows/386 doesn't drop
characters even at 9600.
