Here is some general advice: 1) the format of the posting: files have first been compressed, then uuencoded, then put into a shell archive. So, to get them back one should - remove header and signature - run the files through the shell - uudecode the files - uncompress the files uuencode/uudecode are available on comp.sources.unix archives. compress was one of the postings. it was packed and not compressed for obvious reasons. 2) the undump program is somewhat dependent on the particular version of Xenix you run. I noticed that the format of executables changed from 2.1.3 to 2.2.1, and I already heard from someone that the undump doesn't work properly on 2.2.3. Maybe someone at SCO could shed some light on this? I got one report (thanks Hank) that the undump would still work on a "hello world" program, but not on the Tex-biggie. I would appreciate if someone who had 2.2.1 and upgraded to 2.2.3 could tell me what diffs there might be in the appropriate include files.
