My system is 3/260 + OS 3.5.

OK, so I compiled with CC=cc, and the sole file causing trouble
(mfb_setsp.c) I compiled with gcc, no problem. I also modified
Sun.macros so that OptimizedCDebugFlags is -DPURDUE -O.
Everything was fine EXCEPT that all windows except xemacs come up
with a black background, nothing visible. Titles in twm seem to
still work OK, and text could be displayed in xemacs. Recompiling
ddx/sun without -O did not help. I seem to remember seeing some
discussion of this problem, any help appreciated..
