A friend said that he had heard about at least one chip that would do this for me without the hassle of programming a DSP system for an FFT or the need to build a filter bank of analog filters. He thought that the chip might have been a ASA-16 (sixteen channels?). Does anybody know anything about this particular chip or any others which will simplify the problem of spectral analysis?
