Anyone know of any good introductory books on Neural Networks or on
Neurocomputing in general? Also, what kind of background is necessary
for understanding these books?, and finally, any good advanced books 
you would recommend after I understand the introductory volumes.

I am interested in applying this knowledge to image and voice signal 
processing (noise reduction, pattern recognition, filtering)
