Also: this has bothered me for the longest time.. We have an NT DMS-100 (or something) switch here with an incredibly annoying feature: touch tone digits take about 75ms to register. That means my autodial phone won't work, nor will the redial on my other phone. I have to reconfigure my modem each time I use it on this system. I have nothing whatsoever to do with the administration of this system and haven't had a whole lot of luck talking to knowleadgeable people who work with it (But then again, J.H., I don't "deserve" to...). Now, is this touch tone problem a function of the system itself, or is it something they can adjust? Why would a system be configured to fall so short of such an accepted standard?
