I just dropped my subscription because it has become almost entirely an IBM-PC oriented rag. It's got a few Mac articles as well, but the number of general purpose programs and algorithms has dropped to zilch. If you have an IBM-PC and are interested in a library of routines to use your EGA card in Microsoft 'C', it's the magazine for you. If you are looking for a PD version of terminfo or a neat idea for improving Xlisp, you're out of luck. I don't know who's assumed the mantle of the old Dr. Dobbs, but they've definitely dropped it. > P.S. isn't Dr. Dobbs the descendent of People's Computer Company, > the pioneer personal computer publication?
