Enough latest interest for alt.fax ?  Is it the right name?
Should we rather try to get enough support for a comp.mail.fax
instead ?

I'm looking to purchase a combination fax, copier, printer, phone,
and answering machine; it would be nice if it took plain paper,
standard toner cartridges, rs-232 or parallel interface.  

I'd like to be able to send e-mail and have it faxed out.  Who
sells a stand-alone fax modem?  Where's software to turn ascii
text into Group 3 fax?  ms-dos or unix would be reasonable.

alt.fax lives on mailrus & sharkey, if people don't go berserk
and say it's a bad idea I'll send out a network wide newgroup message.
